JEA Mandatory Watering Restrictions

Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) has mandatory watering restrictions that apple to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water, and water from public and private utilities:
Watering times
Customers should only water when needed, and not between 10 AM and 4 PM. Watering in the early morning or evening can reduce evaporation and wind loss, and allow water to seep into the ground to reach plant roots. JEA recommends watering from 8 PM to 4 AM no more than one hour per zone.
Watering days
Residential properties with odd-numbered or no addresses can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while properties with even-numbered addresses can water on Thursdays and Sundays. Nonresidential properties can water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Other restrictions
During daylight saving time (second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November), irrigation is limited to no more than two days per week.
